Kirkland-based Vector Development Company recently announced plans to build a $9.5 million distribution center at 2519 South 96th Street, which sits on the border of Tacoma and Lakewood.

The 78,000-square-foot building will be leased to one or more warehouse or manufacturing tenants. Called I-5 Tacoma, the facility has easy access to both I-5 and the Port of Tacoma.

Construction is set to begin in March 2019 and is expected to be complete by September 2019.

This is Vector’s third project that will launch this spring.

Vector will also develop Soos Creek Business Park, a $45 million, 382,000-square-foot industrial park in Covington and a 950-unit, Class-A, three-story self storage project in Tacoma. Both facilities will break ground in spring 2019.

“We are interested in additional development projects and build-to-suit opportunities throughout Western Washington,” said Tyler Litzenberger, president of Vector Development Company.
